BERNAMA THE MALAYSIAN NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY: RENONG RECORDS GROUP PRE-TAX LOSS OF RM1.26 BILLION .
KUALA LUMPUR, March 25 (Bernama) -- Renong Bhd has recorded a bigger group pre-tax loss of RM1.26 billion for the six months ended Dec 31, 1998 against a loss of RM336.71 million registered over the same period in 1997, mainly due to non-recurring items.
Group turnover fell 57 percent to RM221.70 million, for the period under review, from RM519.84 million previously.
At the company level, pre-tax loss fell by more than 100 percent to RM1.98 billion compared with RM148.72 million in the corresponding period in 1997.
