Boasting the world's largest Ferris wheel and a host of novelty attractions, Tokyo's newest theme park threw open its doors to the public last Friday amid a flurry of fireworks and fanfare.
Named Palette Town, the 73,000-square-meter complex in Aomi, Koto Ward, dominates the Daiba area of the Tokyo Waterfront. Anticipating around 12 million visitors a year, organizers hope the park "will go some way toward brightening Japan's economy."
