The new director of Over-the-Rhine's entertainment district is planning new events.

The Main Street Entertainment Group's new director plans to raise the profile of the Over-the-Rhine bar district by boosting membership, sponsorship and promotional events.

Craig Johnson, who last month left Covington's MainStrasse Village Association to become MEG's first director, says new promotional efforts may include an annual New Year's Eve event, starting this year.
