NEW STRAITS TIMES (MALAYSIA): Renong, UEM debt restructuring `almost ready' .

THE final scheme for Renong Bhd and United Engineers (M) Bhd's debt restructuring exercise is almost ready for evaluation by the lenders, said corporate debt restructuring committee chairman Datuk C. Rajandram.

He said the CDRC's work on the scheme was almost finished and that it was "ready for creditors to look at", but declined to say when this would be.

The CDRC, an agency set up by Bank Negara to facilitate negotiations between companies and their lenders last August, was widely expected to make an announcement within a week on the matter.
