32 real estate agents leave, form new firm
The company Bill Moore built into the Denver area's largest seller of houses, and then cashed out of last fall, continues to unravel under new ownership.
When Moore sold his residential real estate brokerage, Moore and Co., last fall to New Jersey-based NRT Inc. as part of a reported $20 million deal, what he really traded were the 500 sales agents who worked at his venerable firm. Those agents were responsible for roughly $2 billion in sales in 1998.
Since that September 1998 transaction, however, many Moore salespeople have not liked NRT's arm's-length, multi-layer, big-company way of operating and have left.
