ORLANDO - Only last year, Orlando Magic guard Anfernee Hardaway's smile was plastered on television sets all over the country. His alter ego, Little Penny, was a favorite in toy stores. He flirted with super model Tyra Banks in one commercial. He fussed at Little Penny for having a party.

But it has been more than a year since Hard-away has filmed a new commercial for Nike.

Seven-figure deals such as Hardaway's Nike endorsement have lost luster - the upshot of the lockout that cut three months from the basketball season and left fans complaining about multimillion-dollar salaries.
