Airline industry experts expect KLM Royal Dutch Airlines to stick with its sometimes-controversial cargo sales strategy, despite the retirement this year of cargo chief Jacques Ancher.
Ancher, who has stirred fierce debate in the cargo world over his bid to push to get KLM a seat at the table with direct shippers, will retire from his post as executive vice president of KLM's cargo division Sept. 1. Michael Wisbrun, a former cargo department executive who was most recently executive vice president of business systems at KLM's corporate headquarters, will replace Ancher.
