Researchers conducted a randomized, controlled clinical trial of chiropractic spinal manipulation (CSM) for children with mild or moderate asthma. After a 3-week base-line evaluation period, 91 children who had continuing symptoms of asthma despite usual medical therapy were assigned to receive either active or simulated CSM for 4 months by one of eleven participating chiros, selected by the family according to location. None had previously received chiro care.
