Dual casinos proposed for Buffalo and Niagara Falls.(New York)

Casinos in Buffalo and Niagara Falls, N.Y., could be up and running within a matter of months, according to a team projection from a joint casino effort led by Delaware North Cos. Inc. and Niagara Falls Redevelopment LLC.

The team submitted a proposal to the Seneca Nation of Indians on Nov. 30.

The Seneca Nation of Indians Gaming Committee is expected to review the package as part of its ongoing debate about casino gaming in Western New York. Members of the Nation approved a casino gaming referendum this summer and just elected a pro-gaming president, Duane "Jimmy" Ray.
