Lucky Homes Inc., which buys, restores and sells older homes in lower-middle-class neighborhoods, is expanding nationally with plans to go public within two to three years.

Lucky recently expanded into Dallas, and encouraged by the number of good deals available in Texas, Lucky Homes officials plan to open another office in Fort Worth in a few months.

The Pikesville-based company's niche is in older neighborhoods that straddle the urban-suburban line, such as Govans in north Baltimore and Woodlawn.
