Reebok sting operation with FBI nets Cheskin CANTON, Mass. -- An inside sting operation conducted by the FBI and security officials at Reebok International Ltd. led to the arrest of athletic footwear consultant Melvyn P. Cheskin for allegedly plotting to steal the company's spring 1988 footwear designs.

Criminal charges were brought against Cheskin by the FBI, which charged him with attempting to traffic in counterfeit goods and conspiring to transport stolen goods in interstate commerce.

Cheskin pleaded not guilty to the felony charges before Federal Magistrate Robert Collings at a bail hearing in U.S. District Court, District of Massachusetts, Braintree, …
