Inso buys Bitstream's MediaBank, InterSep
Trevithick new Bitstream president
Bitstream has sold its MediaBank asset management system and InterSep OPI server line to Inso, the developer of Web content management systems. The deal is valued at $12 million in cash. As part of the agreement, approximately 30 employees of Bitstream's Archetype Applications Division will join Inso at its headquarters in Boston. They include Sue Robertson, long-time Archetype executive, but not Paul Trevithick, Archetype founder, who will remain with Bitstream, where he has just been named president. Robertson will serve as VP and GM of Media Asset Management Solutions at Inso.
