Trellix offers collaborative content authoring

Trellix has pitched its Trellix 2.0 software as a way for businesses to easily create and update corporate intranets and thus benefit from the ease of information sharing that intranets promise.

"It's a lot harder to make a real intranet that meets the promise," said Dan Bricklin, founder and chief technology officer at Trellix. "If it's easier to fax the [document] than put it on the intranet, why not do that?"

Windows-based Trellix is designed to make keeping intranet information current as easy as faxing. The software lets nontechnical people create Web content and organize multiple linked pages of information that can be shared on the intranet or through …
