Say Rockport, Frye hearing wedding bells MARLBORO, Mass. -- The long-expected purchase of Frye Co., here, became official late last Friday when Rockport Co., also here, a subsidiary of Reebok International Ltd., Canton, acquired Frye.

Stanley Kravetz, formerly president and owner of Frye, was named president of Rockport, and Bruce katz, previously Rockport president, has become chairman. Details were not revealed, but sources estimated the size of the transaction at approximately $5 million.

Frye operations will be consolidated into the Rockport Co., and Frye employees will move to new offices in the Rockport building. Sources said the Frye name still will be …
