Library Vartanization, Or, the new supra-chiefs

WHO WOULDN'T WANT A LIBRARY VARTANIZED, if the term denotes all that Vartan Gregorian has done for The NEw York Public Research Libraries as its president? So Staggering are his achievements, he might forever stand in the minds of library search committees as the paragon of chief executive officers. And why not? He has put fun into fundraising; he is a scholar and cultural administrator who respects the expertise of his library professionals; his political clout is legend; he is a supercharged ambassador for libraries in general; and his understanding of the library mission leaves nothing to be desired.
