Brazil importers seek cvd hearing NEW YORK -- Complaints have been signed, and petitioners have requested an oral hearing in the 1974 countervailing duty (cvd) investigation involving nonrubber footwear from Brazil for the year 1980, according to Peter Mangione, president of Footwear Retailers of America (FRA).

"This case is further along than Spain's (cvd case)," said Mangione. "In the case of Spain, most entries have been liquidated and duties paid." He added that in Brazil's case no entries have been liquidated and/or duties paid due to court order problems.
