A RETIRED personnel manager from Stockwood died suddenly after a bout of unexplained hip and leg pain, an inquest heard.

Doctors could find no serious cause for concern with normally "fit and healthy" Geoffrey Pearson during consultations. But the 71-year-old's pain worsened and was followed by sleepless nights and hot and cold flushes until September 22, 2011, when he lost his sight and fell unconscious, slipping into cardiac arrest.

Extensive GP reports and pathologists' examinations found little evidence of the causes of the pain.
