BBC wastes money on outside broadcasts.

The BBC is funded by taxpayers and I feel that it is incumbent upon those responsible at the BBC to use the funds at their disposal sensibly.

However, I do question in these times of austerity and cutbacks the sensibility of the financial controllers at BBC South West News Section when they send outside broadcast teams to stand outside buildings which have some remote connection to a news story but with no actual input from the victims or subjects of the story. Only last week, following the dreadful helicopter crash in London, an outside broadcast team was sent to stand outside Castle Air premises at Liskeard for goodness knows how many …
