Russia's ruling party regains popularity, while opposition loses it - poll.

The ruling One Russia party has now completely regained the popularity it lost a year ago, while the opposition has lost all its gains, an opinion poll has shown.

Privately-owned Russian news agency Interfax reported on 9 November that, with the autumn setting in, One Russia's positions had again strengthened and at the beginning of November its electoral approval rating reached 48 per cent. The agency quoted the VTsIOM (All-Russia Public Opinion Research Centre) polling organization, which conducted an opinion poll on 3-4 November in 138 towns and villages in 46 regions, territories and republics of Russia.
