Ambon, Maluku, Aug 3 (ANTARA) - The Ambon government has been urged to step up promotion of the Darwin-Ambon Yacht Race in order to attract more participants to the event.

"The Ambon city administration should globally promote the race to attract more participants, particularly those who are interested in nautical sports," said Rick Setter, the chief organizer of DAYR 202, on Friday.

"Promotions for the event should be done not only in Darwin, Australia, but also across the globe. This race is an international event held since 967," he added.
