The Uttar Pradesh cabinet in India approved the implementation of the National Optical Fibre Network Scheme across the state, reports The Times of India. Once implemented, the network will support broadband penetration to gram panchayat (GP) levels across UP, connecting local governments, schools and primary health centres in rural areas.
