Amman, Aug (ANTARA/Xinhua-OANA) - The Jordanian government on Tuesday condemned Israeli excavation works near Jerusalem's Al Aqsa Mosque, the state-run Petra news agency reported.

"That is a clear provocation of the Muslims' feelings, especially during the holy month of Ramadan," Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications Samih Maaytah was quoted as saying.
