Pyongyang, 25 July: Floods triggered by recent downpours have left eight people dead and over 16,250 homeless in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), official media reported Wednesday [25 July].

The DPRK has been suffering from heavy rains and flooding since the start of the rainy season last Wednesday, when a typhoon reached the country, the official KCNA news agency reported.
