SINGERS are being sought to launch of an exhibition of the Lindisfarne Gospels.

Choristers are being recruited to perform across the North East along the route where monks carried the body of St Cuthbert, the patron saint of Northumbria, before arriving at his final resting place in Durham.

Now a concert is planned for at least 1,000 singers on Palace Green in front of Durham Cathedral when the exhibition opens for three months in the university library …
