President Karzai meets Clinton in Kabul, praises her support for Afghanistan.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has paid an unannounced visit to Afghanistan on 7 July to reaffirm US support for Afghanistan. She held a brief joint press conference with President Karzai this morning in Kabul, as broadcast live on National Afghanistan TV.

Talking to the reporters, President Karzai praised Clinton's visit and support for Afghanistan.

"It is a pleasure that today a former and close friend of Afghanistan, who always thinks about assistance for Afghanistan and prosperity and security of the Afghan people, is visiting Afghanistan.
