They are not poker players, these Trail Blazers front-office guys. No bluffs. No smoke screens. Thursday marked the opening of the "As Advertised" era of Blazers basketball.

Turns out all that flowery and oddly transparent talk about owner Paul Allen spending an evening at dinner falling in love with Damian Lillard really did mean that he loved the guy and had to have him.

Lillard goes to Portland with the No. 6 pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.
