Paula Prudente is proud to rank as one of Palm Beach County's most experienced reading teachers, with a resume that starts in 1978 at Palm Springs Elementary when she was 23.

With a strong desire to keep teaching at 57 and beyond, Prudente instead finds herself battling to keep her state educator's license and job with the school district -- she last taught at Spanish River High in Boca Raton.
