DAVIE -- The Miami Dolphins have spent three months trying to adapt to change.
The team has abandoned the ground-and-pound style Tony Sparano leaned on heavily, and is working toward marrying the Dolphins' personnel to an up-tempo West Coast system that is so fast-paced it is challenging to watch, and even harder to execute.
Hoping to take advantage of the team's speed and size, the defense is also switching from the 3-4 scheme the Dolphins have used since 2005 to a 4-3 base defense.
How the Dolphins perform in 2012 will likely depend on how quickly the team adapts …
