DEERFIELD BEACH -- Delicia de abacaxi is a creamy dessert made from pineapples, similar in consistency to key lime pie. The x is pronounced like the c in "delicious."
The desert was served alongside about a dozen other Brazilian foods at Sunday's Festa Junina event.
About 2,500 people bought food and drinks, listened to music and watched performances on the huge indoor sports fields at the Indoor Sports Complex at 3650 SW 10th Street on Sunday afternoon and evening, organizers estimated.
