June 12--Trevor Lewis achieved a Utah first on Monday night, and did it in impressive fashion. Lewis became the first Utah high school hockey player to win the Stanley Cup on Monday when he helped the Los Angeles Kings defeat the New Jersey Devils 6-1 and win the NHL title, 4-1. Lewis, a Salt Lake native and Brighton High hockey product, is actually the first former Utah prep hockey player even to make it to the NHL. Lewis scored a pair of goals on Monday night at Staples Center in Los Angeles. Lewis registered the Kings' third goal on an extended power play late in the first period and made it 5-1 with an empty-net goal with 3:45 remaining in the game. Links legends …
