June 12--The GE Foundation has come through again for the Erie School District and, ultimately, for the benefit of our entire community.
The foundation announced it has pledged $8.6 million to the school district to improve high school education in math, science and literacy. Although struggling financially, the school district has seen results from the GE Foundation's previous $15 million grant to bolster math and science skills for students in kindergarten through eighth grade.
