It's no wonder the momentum that the A's carried into the weekend evaporated in the Arizona heat.
A 4-3 defeat to the Diamondbacks on Sunday completed a three-game sweep for the home team at Chase Field. It also proved the A's are still trying to figure out how to meld all phases of their game together on a consistent basis.
A's manager Bob Melvin was in no chatting mood after the game.
