PHOENIX _ Trevor Cahill will savor his memories of facing his former team Saturday.

Jarrod Parker? He'd be better off with a case of amnesia.

In a battle of two pitchers traded for each other, Cahill silenced the Oakland Athletics for 7 1/3 innings as the Arizona Diamondbacks won, 8-3, in front of 28,061 fans at Chase Field.

Coming off his second career shutout, Cahill struck out a season-high seven and showed the type of form that made him an All-Star with Oakland in 2010.

Parker, who took a no-hitter into the eighth inning in his previous outing against Texas, simply did not have his 'A' game. He walked five, gave up a season-high eight hits and tied his season high with six runs allowed over …
