The National Audio-visual Council Wednesday [6 June] deemed banning the Syrian television channel broadcast on satellites is a merely political decision that tampers with freedom of expression as it is "a first to tamper with Arab media sector."

The Arab Foreign Ministers' Council had recommended the banning of Syrian channel broadcast over satellites.

The national audio-visual Council reminded both "Arabsat" and "Nile Sat" companies that they "provide services and were partners in the media …
