These days when you look at headlines two urgent issues dominate the global agenda: the situation in Syria and the deepening economic crisis in Europe. In both cases a sense of gloom and doom has become the norm.
On both fronts, there is need for urgent action. Yet, nothing is happening. What explains such inaction?
