Pakistan's Punjab chief, visiting Iranian team discuss ties.

Lahore, 30 May: Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khan Khosa said on Wednesday [30 May] that Iran and Pakistan had exemplary relations and the people of the two countries were bound together in centuries-old ties of brotherhood. He was talking to a 10-member high level Iranian delegation at the Governor's house here on Wednesday.

Governor of Fars Province Engineer Hossein Sadegh Abidi was leading the delegation. Khosa said: "Iran has an unique honour of being the first country to recognize Pakistan".

He said there were cultural and religious familiarities between the two countries.
