MyCC still assessing Nestle's exemption application.
KUALA LUMPUR: Nestle Malaysia's exemption application is still being assessed, Malaysian Competition Commission (MyCC) said.
It said the statement by the Federation of Malaysian Consumer Association (Fomca) on Monday indicating that Nestle had been granted the exemption is not true.
All exemption applications including Nestle's are at the assessment stage, MyCC said in a statement yesterday.
"Exemption applicants are not automatically granted exemptions," said MyCC chief executive officer Shila Dorai Raj.
She added that all applications for exemptions must undergo the necessary assessments to determine if they meet the necessary criteria.
