Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) has finalised deal for the import of 100,000 metric tons of urea for local consumption. According to details in response to TCP's international tender, floated on April 18, 2012, for the import of 300,000 metric tons of urea, some 14 international pre-qualified bidders participated.

However, finally tender was awarded to lowest bidder namely M/s Gavilon Fertiliser LLC, USA for a quantity of 100,000 metric tons urea.
