Like most people I have only a slight knowledge of the Ted Hughes-Sylvia Plath matter but even with that slight knowledge I found the article (WMN May 3) headlined "Poet's letters reveal true feelings over Plath's death") amazing and Googled Sylvia Plath after reading it to check some facts. There are so many things in the article that are questionable that it would be difficult to know where to start. Although it seems to be trying to do so, it doesn't do Hughes any favours as it makes it seem - even if that is not the case - that both he and the author of the article are trying to rewrite history.
