HOW worrying to read that efforts to improve diagnosis rates of bowel cancer might actually be increasing the time it takes for some sufferers to get help (EE, May 1).
As someone who has experienced a cancer scare myself -- and received first-class care at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary I should add -- I can imagine how stressful that would be for anyone currently experiencing symptoms.
Obviously, we should be supportive of efforts to ensure people are aware of the symptoms of bowel cancer.
