No proof films cause violence.

FURTHER to Tom Bullock's reply to Mr Berry's criticism of the film The Hunger Games I would like to add that the central premise of the film - that is, child pitted against child in a fight to the death for the amusement of a futuristic, post-apocalyptic, violence-free society - is hardly original.

Back in 2000 a Japanese film entitled Batoru Rowaiaru (Battle Royale) told a similar tale, this time with a chosen class of school children being forcibly taken to a remote island and told to fight to the death.
