1 May 2012 - US lender Provident Bank said on Monday it had hired David S Slackman as chairman of the newly formed advisory board for its New York City market which is its key growth area. Slackman brings extensive knowledge and expertise having served the New York City market for 30 years. He was most recently founding president of Commerce Bank helping the lender grow from scratch in New York City to USD8bn (EUR6bn) in assets in just a couple of years.
