MURDER target Karl Brown illegally ferried his pal around Tyneside after a three-week-old baby was hit with a brick.

A schoolyard grudge left 27-year-old Brown with nine stab wounds when former classmate Darren Smith launched a frenzied attack in Gateshead last year.

Now - 12 months after surviving the ordeal - he has been hauled before the courts for motoring offences after flouting a driving ban.

Road menace Brown was given a five-year driving ban after leading police on a 60mph chase on the wrong side of the road in 2007.
