Morecambe failed to end their home campaign on a high note as Darren Purse's late header robbed them of the three points on Saturday.

The veteran Plymouth skipper made the most of a poor Barry Roche clearance to head into the empty Morecambe net seven minutes from time.

It was a game of two contrasting halves for Jim Bentley's side as they followed an inept opening 45 minutes with a spirited second half showing which saw them produce two goals.
