(From Lancashire Evening Post)

A mum-of-two who was over the alcohol limit and forced a policeman to jump for his life has avoided jail.

Beverley Stewartson, 40, was stopped by the officer on an icy road in Kirkham on February 5.

When stopped the officer smelt alcohol on her breath and when he went to get his breathaliser kit he heard the car start up so he ran back and kicked at the driver's window twice.
