Prague, March 28 (CTK) - The Czech cabinet today approved a general referendum bill under which a referendum must be called if at least 250,000 people require it, sources close to the cabinet told CTK. Under the government-proposed bill, the government may call a referendum, too. On the other hand, a group of parliament members will not have the right to require a referendum. The opposition Social Democrats (CSSD) recently proposed that a referendum be called if at least 200,000 citizens, 80 deputies or 33 senators demand it. The government coalition rejected the CSSD's proposal. The Chamber of Deputies has 200 members and the Senate 81 members. The …
