1. 0127 Human Rights Watch releases a report calling on the Afghan government to issue a decree on the release of those female detainees who were jailed on charges of running away, extra-marital sex and moral crimes. Addressing a news conference in Kabul, Kenneth Roth, executive director of Human Rights Watch, said that the women were facing unfair and injustice treatment in the Afghan jails. Meanwhile, Sima Samar, the head of the Afghan Independent Human Rights Commission voiced concern over the way of implementation of the law on the said female detainees.
