MALAYSIA Tigers, as expected, advanced to the semi-finals but Malaysia Leopards were the stars of the day as they also battled through to the last four of the Axiata Cup invitational team event yesterday.

Doubles specialist Ow Yao Han, whose father died in Malacca yesterday, overcame his grief to help Leopards draw level in Jakarta after they lost the first singles.

Leopards fought back after Misbun Ramdan Misbun suffered a 21-10, 21-15 defeat to Nguyen Tien Minh to beat Vietnam 2-1 in their Group J match at Senayan Indoor Tennis Stadium.
