[Presenter] The Afghan defence ministry says in order to defend national sovereignty Afghanistan needs additional 300 offensive and defensive aircraft of different types. The Afghan defence ministry calls the role of Afghan air forces in night raids highly important. Ministry officials say that the international community has pledged provision of 150 helicopters by end-2016 which would partially meet their requirements. Meanwhile, the commander of the Afghan air force stresses the importance of training Afghan air forces and highlights their important role after 2014 when the foreign forces would leave the country. …
