Cash boost for cancer charity.

A north-east cancer charity has received a funding boost thanks to two national initiatives.

Clan Cancer Support has been awarded almost GBP12,000 from the People's Postcode Trust and the Co-operative Membership Big Community Vote 2011.

Nearly GBP10,000 came from the former, which is funded by players of the People's Postcode Lottery, and has been used to buy beds for the Haven accommodation at the charity's newly-built headquarters in Westburn Road, Aberdeen.
